FAST Channel Launch Checklist: What Platforms Ask For
Launching a FAST channel is as much about preparation as technology. Platforms want a channel that is ready to run, monetize and appear in their guide. Use this checklist before the first conversation.
Content and rights
- Rights to distribute the content on the platforms and territories you target.
- Enough programming to fill a 24/7 schedule without repeating too often.
- Content that meets the platform's technical and editorial rules.
Schedule and EPG
- A schedule that drives the playout.
- Guide data (titles, descriptions, times) generated from that schedule.
- A plan for updating the schedule and the guide together.
Ad breaks
- Breaks planned in the programming, with consistent positions and durations.
- SCTE-35 markers on every break.
- A clear answer to who sells the ads: you, the platform, a partner, or a mix.
Stream delivery
- A stable 24/7 output in the format each platform accepts, usually HLS or SRT.
- Redundancy and monitoring so problems are noticed before viewers do.
- Markers preserved from playout to delivery.
Channel identity
- Channel name, logo and artwork in the sizes each platform requests.
- A short channel description for the guide.
Operations
- Who watches the channel and alerts, and how problems are escalated.
- How new content is added to the schedule.
- How performance and revenue reports are received and reviewed.
How Fast Monkey helps
Fast Monkey One runs the 24/7 playout with scheduling, branding, EPG and SCTE-35 markers. Fast Monkey Pass connects distribution workflows, platform integrations and compatible monetization systems around your existing infrastructure. Both start with a conversation about your channels.
